Change begins with
understanding.

How I Support

Does this sound familiar?

You work in an international environment and notice that collaboration is not working as well as it could. Teams talk past each other, change initiatives lose momentum, and leadership starts to feel heavier than it should.

Change is constant - and while you are expected to provide direction, clarity often feels difficult to find. Energy gets lost, and so does orientation.

Decisions take longer than necessary. Alignment becomes exhausting, and often it is unclear what is actually causing the friction.

Misunderstandings arise, even though everyone is ultimately working toward the same goal. Differences begin to create friction instead of value.

Pressure increases, motivation decreases. Rather than creating clarity and direction, change leads to uncertainty and overload.

Important things are left unsaid. Collaboration slows down, trust erodes, and energy gets lost along the way.

Three Dimensions of Change

Where change becomes visible

Change does not show up in just one place. Depending on where it becomes visible, I support people, teams, or organizations — always keeping people at the center.

01
Organization

When the system stops working

What seems clear on paper often does not work in everyday practice. Different assumptions, established structures, and underlying dynamics can stall collaboration. The focus here is on making visible what is shaping the system - and creating new clarity and direction.

02
Team

When collaboration becomes difficult

Teams are always trying to align, but clarity is still hard to find. Misunderstandings happen even when everyone shares the same goal. The challenge is often not about intention, but about how people see and interpret situations differently. This is where real understanding can grow, forming the basis for effective collaboration.

When leadership becomes challenging

You are dealing with different expectations and are still expected to give direction, even when things are unclear. Here, leadership is not just about making decisions. It is also about having inner clarity, self-awareness, and staying grounded and effective in complex situations.

My Approach

Comprehend. Connect.
Create Change.

Comprehend

Understanding goes deeper than information. When we begin to truly see different perspectives, a clearer picture emerges. We begin to recognize what shapes the way we — and others — think and act across cultures, teams, and organizations.

Connect

Connection happens between people. It grows when different perspectives meet and create space for real understanding. But firstly, connection begins within ourselves - when we recognize our own patterns and begin to understand the dynamics around us. This is where trust grows, and meaningful collaboration becomes possible.

Create Change

Transformation begins within ourselves - when our mindset, awareness, and way of relating to others begin to shift. From there, new ways of thinking, collaborating, and leading can emerge. This creates conditions for change that are not only visible but also lasting.

About Me

I'm Christiena, and I build
bridges between people
and perspectives.

I support international organizations, teams, and leaders at the intersection of culture, leadership, and change.

Many challenges do not arise because people are unwilling, but because they perceive, interpret, and act differently. That is exactly where my work begins.

I create spaces where people can pause, reflect, and engage in meaningful dialogue — about perspectives, cultural differences, and the things that often go unspoken.

I work as a sparring partner, facilitator, and coach, combining intercultural experience, systemic thinking, and coaching to understand the dynamics beneath the surface.

Originally from the United States, I grew up bilingual and spent several years living and working in Japan. I later worked in leadership roles as a product manager in international organizations. Today, I am based in Germany, in the Sauerland region.
